(P. 2). Paper devoted to the memory of V.F. Evstratov – Deputy Director of the Institute of Tire Industry, correspondent member of USSR Academy of Science. Silicone Rubber Compounds for Cables by JSC “Kazan Synthetic Rubber Factory” – Mikhailova G.A., Baburina V.A., Kalmykova V.Ya., Borisoglebskii S.V. (P. 5). Present day state and development of production of silicone rubber compounds for cables by JSC “Kazan Synthetic Rubber Factory” is presented. Properties and test methods are under discussion. The Pore Formation in CrossLinked Elastomers under Elevated Temperatures – Gaidadin A.N., Petrjuk I.P., Kablov V.F. (P. 7). The pore formation in crosslinked and filled ethylene propylene terpolyomers under heating has been studied. Destruction is shown at 380–390 °C, pore formation is seen in central part of heated samples. Pore formation is considered as a result of low solubility of gases at high temperatures and diffusion problems and a cause of poor mechanical properties of heated samples. Calculation of diffusion process is presented. On Calculation of SpecificCohesion Energy of Some Rubbers – Shmurak I.L. (P. 10). Comparison of experimental and calculated by Small method values of specific cohesion energy for some rubbers is presented. Physical Modification of Diene Rubbers as a Method of Abrupt Improvement of Processing Properties of Rubber Compounds and Mechanical Properties of Vulcanized Rubbers. Part 2. – Dorozhkin V.P., Galimova E.M., Il’yasov R.S. (P. 11). Effect of storage time after physical modification on processing properties of rubber compounds is studied. The effect is quite small and different for NR and synthetic 1,4cisPolyisoprene. Physical Modification of Diene Rubbers as a Method of Abrupt Improvement of Processing Properties of Rubber Compounds and Mechanical Properties of Vulcanized Rubbers. Part 3. – Dorozhkin V.P., Galimova E.M., Il’yasov R.S. (P. 12). Effect of storage time after physical modification on mechanical properties of vulcanized synthetic 1,4cisPolyisoprene is studied. At low storage time there is no effect, after two weeks or more mechanical properties return to their values before modification. Effect of Carbon Black Modification on Rubber Properties – Kornev Yu.V., Yumashev O.B., Zhogin V.A., Gamlitskii Yu.A., Shvachich M.V., Bukanov A.M. (P. 14). The possibility of surface modification of carbon black has been studied. The changes of surface properties of carbon black are shown. The effect on processing and mechanical properties of rubber compounds under surface modification is compared with the effect of the use of modifier as one of ingredients; the differences are quite significant. Prospects of Application of New Plasticizer – Dibutoxyethyl adipinate for Production of Low Temperature Resistant Sealing Rubbers – Petrova N.N., Portnyagina V.V., Fedotova E.S. (P. 18). The comparison of climatic stability of rubber compounds based on butadiene acrylonitrile rubber is presented: commercially available sealing rubber compounds and compounds containing new plasticizer (dibutoxyethyl adipinate). Properties have been studied under the conditions of sharply continental cold climate and the action of hydrocarbon media. It was shown that interaction of rubbers with hydrocarbon media (oil, mineral oil, lubricants) results in intense wash out of the plasticizers leading to abrupt decrease of lowtemperature resistance. Importance of diffusion process is under discussion. Calculation of Optimum Filling of Elastomers by Carbon Particles of Nanodimensions – Kablov V.F., Petrjuk I.P. (P. 22). Physical model of nanocomposite is proposed and equation for calculation of optimum filling of elastomers is presented. Determination of Carbon Black Distribution in Rubber Compounds – Shutilin Yu.F., Bogachev E.P., Molchanov V.I., Zhuchkov A.V., Popov G.V. (P. 24). Comparison of two methods of treatment of visual (by microscope) determination of carbon black distribution in isoprene rubber compounds is presented. Anisothermic Polymer Extrusion with Consideration for the Molecular Orientation – Kutuzov A.G. (P. 25). Model of anisothermic polymer extrusion with consideration for the molecular orientation is proposed. The Possibility of Consideration for the Molecular Orientation at Description of Extrusion of Rubber Compounds – Kutuzov A.G. (P. 29). Because of the importance of molecular orientation under extrusion the possibility of its description is proposed. Effects of Temperature and Velocity on Polymer Extrusion – Kutuzov A.G. (P. 30). The way of taking into account the effects of temperature and velocity on polymer extrusion are under discussion and the data for polyethylene are considered.
